Academic Affiliates Membership Application
Thank you for your interest in joining The Third Narrative’s academic affiliate groups: the Alliance for Academic Freedom (AAF) and Scholars for Israel and Palestine (SIP).
The AAF consists of liberal and progressive scholars dedicated to combating academic boycotts and blacklists, defending freedom of expression, and promoting empathy in the debate over the future of Israel and Palestine. For a statement of principles, see here: http://thirdnarrative.org/community/campus/aaf
SIP comprises progressive academics who are pro-Israel, pro-Palestine, and pro-peace. We are committed to advancing a two-state solution to resolve the conflict between Israel and Palestine, bringing peace, justice and dignity to both sides. SIP’s statement of principles can be found here: http://thirdnarrative.org/community/campus/sip.
Both AAF and SIP are open to college or university faculty, academic staff, and administrators with appropriate academic qualifications (including those who are emeritus), adjunct instructors, researchers, and graduate students affiliated with a North American college, university, or research institute. Those who do not meet these criterion but assent to the groups’ principles and wish to join should apply to each group’s executive committee for consideration.
You may join AAF, SIP or both groups by clicking the appropriate box(es) at the bottom of this page.
Please complete the following brief form and someone from TTN will be back in touch with you shortly about membership and opportunities to be further involved.
